The thesis examines the issue of child safety on the Internet in Victorian schools and households. An empirical, exploratory study reviewed 333 school websites, 15 school Internet policies and the SchoolsNet Internet Network Administrator (SINA) software. Self-administered surveys were made of staff from 34 primary and secondary schools and 75 parents to examine the knowledge, experiences and responses of children’s guardians.
