The Hate Crimes Research Network is designed to link academic research that is being done on the topic of bias motivated crime. Based at the Department of Sociology of Portland State University in Oregon, the HCRN links work done by sociologists, criminologists, psychologists and other academics, including graduate students. The goal is to create a common pool of research and data to understand the phenomenon of hate crimes. The HCRN and this site are directed by Dr. Randy Blazak.

The Coalition Against Hate Crimes (CAHC) was started by the American Jewish Committee in Portland, Oregon. It held its first meeting in early October 1997. Its members are representatives from a wide variety of comm and government organizations. The Coalition and its members support non-violent solutions to the problem of hate and hate crimes in Oregon.

Partners Against Hate

An innovative collaboration of the Anti-Defamation League, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund, and the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence, Partners Against Hate features online and offline resources and support in the fight against youth-initiated hate violence. Partners Against Hate was created to help prevent, deter, and reduce juvenile hate-related behavior. The program blends outreach, public education, and training to help all sectors of the community
